Oasis in Washington at Tenley Circle

What a terrific "Oasis" book signing today at St. Ann, just off Tenley Circle on Yuma Street in Washington, D.C.

Msgr. James Watkins preached at the 9 a.m. Mass to the very youngest parishioners, shown below, who tried their hardest to comprehend the beautiful message he was imparting... then there were the wigglers... And, he gave a great plug for my book!

And, here am I waiting for the crowds to show up... a great turnout... we sold 31 books!

Tomorrow night's Oscar winners stand on some very tall shoulders, exemplified by the legacy of James Stewart.  Ponder him here receiving his Honorary Oscar®.

What a wonderful and blessed life!  He was not perfect, but God was there every step of the way helping him course correct, as need be, while warming the hearts and lifting the souls of countless Americans and millions beyond our shores.

No, they don't make 'em like they used to.

One of his favorite film roles was Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey, as he reflected upon in 1990.

So much goes into the story of this lovely man about whom I am currently writing in Oasis II.
